• Fall Inspiration

    Fall is one of my favorite seasons, running a close second to Spring. Living in the north woods of Wisconsin, no one can deny the colorful beauty of the Fall season. Even the Fall air sparks a sense of calmness and gratitude. Well, that’s my interruption anyway. These leaves, which I gathered during a walk, provided the inspiration for the Fall Afghan. I was lucky enough to find a yarn which served the purpose perfectly. It is Hobby Lobby “I Love This Yarn” in Cinnamon Cedar.   • S.A.C.K.

    Several years ago, I discovered S.A.C.K. – Supporting A Community with Kindness. Founded in 2017, their mission is to provide soap sacks (with a bar of soap in each one) to homeless shelters, food pantries, veteran clinics, relief efforts and social service agencies. Since the time I discovered this wonderful organization, I’ve donated lots of soap sacks to local homeless shelters. There is never a shortage for the need of these items.   • Little Cutie Baby Hats

    Did I mention that I have three granddaughters? In my grandmotherly, unbiased opinion, they are the cutest kids ever! They were the main reason I stepped up my crochet game and I haven’t looked back. The grandgirls have now outgrown all the little baby hats; however, I still enjoy making them. There are lots of places in need of donated baby hats, but many of mine go to a local hospital, specifically the hospital where my daughter was born. She was a tiny, 2-1/2 pound preemie and was in the hospital for two months before coming home. I’m happy to say she is now a grown wife and mother. During…
